I work for a web development company. One of our clients is a managed services provider.
We trade labor for labor, we do their website, and they manage our network and workstations. We have a good working relationship with this client. Recently we deployed a new website which turned out great.
Until I got this after-hours, emergency alert.
Client: Found a bug in the website! 911! 911! Call me back immediately!
After numerous failed attempts to call them back, email, and eventually escalating to their senior contact, we determine there’s no obvious bug. We paused the issue until we can get a hold of the person who initiated the alert.
Client: Oh the 911 bug last night? There’s a broken link on one of the product pages. I just thought it would be funny to pretend to be one of those Clients from Hell by making it sound important and then turning off my phone!
Yeah, you really “pretended” to be a CFH.
